Our team will work very hard to ensure that we can fit around your schedule. Surgeries can be arranged on Friday evening to allow patients to return to work on Monday morning.

We welcome both insurance and self-paying patients. For insurance patients, the fees are within insurance limits and for self-paying patients, we offer an affordable price. Please enquire about any instalment payment options that may be available.

Mr Vishwanath

Consultant Squint Surgeon & Neuro-ophthalmologist

Mr Vishwanath qualified as a doctor from Mysore University, India. He started his postgraduate training in Ophthalmology in 1987. During his postgraduate training, he obtained the Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery from Bangalore University, India. After further training in the UK, he was admitted as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Mr Vishwanath undertook subspecialist training during a Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology at Great Ormond Street Childrens’ Hospital. He trained under Professor David Taylor, author of “Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus” textbook and Professor Ken Nischal.

He subsequently did a Fellowship in Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Aintree University Hospitals, Liverpool. He trained under Mr Ansons, author of the textbook “Diagnosis and Management of Ocular Motility Disorders” and Mr Ian Marsh.

He is active in research and he has authored many scientific papers in the field of Strabismus and Ophthalmology. He is a reviewer for the strabismus section of British Journal of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the International Strabismus Association.

He is the lead consultant at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in Strabismus and Neuro Ophthalmology and eye specialists from all over the world come to train under him. As an Educational Supervisor and Trainer, he teaches and trains ophthalmic registrars and medical students.

He is the audit lead for the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and contributes to the clinical governance of the hospital.

Dr Preye Andrew Zuokumor

Consultant in Anaesthesia

Dr Zuokumor has been a Consultant Anaesthetist with the Central Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust (CMFT), Manchester, UK since 2005. He graduated from University College Hospital, Ibadan in Nigeria, West Africa in 1985 and trained in anaesthetics in 3 different continents, namely Nigeria (Africa), UK and USA.

Mr Venkat Dwarampudi

Senior Orthoptist

Mr Dwarampudi studied orthoptics at Sheffield University and has been based at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital for the past fifteen years. He has gained significant experience in the assessment and diagnosis of ocular conditions related to strabismus, diplopia and visual deficit in paediatric, adult and patients with developmental delay. He also holds an MSc in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He has specialist interest in neuro-ophthalmology, strabismus and teaching. He is involved in lecturing and examining at Liverpool, Sheffield and Manchester Universities for Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.

Lindsi Williams

Senior Orthoptist

Lindsi graduated from The Queen’s College, Glasgow in 1991 with a diploma in British Orthoptics.
She is an advanced orthoptist at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and has experience in all aspects of orthoptics with a special interest in neuro- ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
